Coyness Ennix, Jr., MD
President, CEO, and Executive Medical Director

 

A nationally recognized cardiac surgeon, Dr. Coyness Ennix has more than 30 years of medical practice experience. He lives and practices in the San Francisco Bay Area.

 

Before founding Peer Review Solutions, Dr. Ennix was a cardiac surgeon in private practice in Oakland, California. His prior hospital appointments in the San Francisco Bay Area include Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Alta Bates Medical Center,Alameda County Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente Medical Group, San Ramon Medical Center and Valley Care Medical Center, among others. From 1993 through 2002 he was the Medical Director of Cardiac Surgery at the Center for Cardiac Surgery at Alta Bates Medical Center in Berkeley, and served as chairman of the Center’s Cardiac Surgery Quality Management Committee. His board certifications include the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

 

A widely published author in academic and medical journals on thoracic surgery issues, Dr. Ennix has also held esteemed academic appointments throughout his career. He served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery for the University of California-San Francisco from 1985 through 1989, as a Rotating Clinical Instructor for Cardiothoracic Service for Highland General Hospital, Samuel Merritt Hospital and Children’s Hospital Oakland from 1981 through 2002. Earlier career appointments included Staff Surgeon at St. Joseph Hospital and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, both in Texas.

 

Internationally, he has served as a Consultant in Cardiac Surgery at Pokrovskaya Hospital in St. Petersburg, Russia, and at the University of Cape Town Medical Center in Cape Town, South Africa.

 

He currently serves on the Clinical Advisory Panel for the California CABG Outcomes Reporting Program (CCORP) in the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD). He is founder and past president of the Bay Area Society of Thoracic Surgeons and currently serves on its executive board. Dr. Ennix received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. His surgical training includes thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at The Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation in Ohio. He completed post-graduate cardiac surgery training with Dr. Michael Debakey at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

 

Warren Strudwick, M.D.
Medical Director

 

Dr. Strudwick is the Medical Director for Peer Review Solutions, responsible for the business and peer reviews associated with workers compensation. He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and a qualified medical examiner, specializing in sports medicine and injuries to the knee, elbow and shoulder. He completed a fellowship in reconstructive knee surgery and sports medicine at the University of Lyon in France following his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Stanford Medical Center in 1987.

 

Dr. Strudwick is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Basketball Physicians Society, the National Football Physicians Association, the United States Olympic Committee Physicians Society, United States Olympic Sports Medicine Society, the USA Weightlifting Federation, USA Boxing, and the American Medical Association. He is currently the president of the Sinkler Miller Association, an affiliate of the National Medical Association.

 

Presently a team physician with the Oakland Raiders and the U.S. Track and Field Team. Past appointments include team physician for the Golden State Warriors, the U.S. Olympic Boxing Team, The University of California at Berkeley, the Berkeley High School Football Team, and the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

 

Dr. Strudwick earned his undergraduate degree Brown University and graduated from Howard University’s Medical School. He earned an MBA from Stanford University, where he was president of the Stanford Business School Student Association.

 

Sanford Livingston
Executive Vice President, Marketing

 

Sanford Livingston directs the sales and marketing activities for Peer Review Solutions.  In this role, he is responsible for the organization’s nationwide business development and expansion strategies, and for relationship management with clients and prospects. He brings more than 15 years of marketing, financial and operational experience to this position, most notably from a career with a Fortune 500 company, where he lead strategic market initiatives across a broad range of business lines.

 

Sanford holds a BA degree in Economics from Wesleyan University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, where he was a Finance Consortium Fellow for the Graduate Study in Management and a President Steven B. Sample Fellow for USC’s Leadership Institute. His professional affiliations include serving as a trustee board member for organizations such as the Coro Foundation, Life Steps Inc., and Urban Financial Services Coalition.

 

Kim Kellogg
Executive Vice President, Communications

 

Kim Kellogg is a corporate communications professional with more than 20 years of achievements in developing and implementing strategic public relations campaigns, targeted communications programs and crisis management for Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurial start-ups.

 

At Peer Review Solutions, Kim is responsible for developing and issuing communications with the company’s network of network of physicians and clients throughout the U.S. and for Executive Communications for the management team.

 

She graduated from the University of Illinois’ School of Journalism, Champaign-Urbana, with a BA degree, magna cum laude.

 

Medina Jett
Senior Vice President, National Accounts

 

Medina Jett heads national sales and account management for Peer Review Solutions. An attorney and business executive, Medina brings over 20 years of executive level experience at four Fortune 100 insurance companies.

 

Her prior roles include leading the claim management organization for the disability business of one of the nation’s largest healthcare and group insurance companies. In that role she was responsible for ensuring the effective management of all long term disability claims, including obtaining independent medical reviews, overseeing appeals and negotiating claim settlements. She has also served as an executive-level sponsor for key national accounts focused on business retention and has held various senior legal roles including that of chief compliance officer. In addition to her current role at Peer Review Solutions, she owns a consulting business.

 

Medina earned a BA degree from Wesleyan University, a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and an MBA from the University of Connecticut School of Business. Her civic and community work has included serving on the board of Nutmeg Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Connecticut Legal Services, The Amistad Center for Art & Culture at the Wadsworth Atheneum, Neighborhoods of Hartford and as a trustee emeritus of the Foundation for Educational Opportunities.
